Yoga Sutra 2.21
tad aretha eva drsyasya tma
The very existence of the seen is for the sake of the seer
In the yoga philosophy the fundamental endowment of the knowable creation is to be the object of Purusha. The object is dependent on Purusha-Sanskrit: “spirit,” “person,” “self,” or “consciousness” if the object can not be observed then it is no longer manifested but it is not destroyed but changes from the form we can see. revelation of the object for observing is only a form of Buddhi
-Sanskrit: to wake, be awake, observe, heed, attend, learn, become aware of, to know, be conscious again. purusha becomes buddhi contracted by the object of perception. This is how we can observe our true selves by becoming awake and understand that we are nearly creating object to observe.
Who is laughing? Me as soon as I picked up this deck. You see I forgot I was a immortal spirit having a human experience for a few days and it became a real drag. Working with focus being on the external world instead of the internal world was laughable. Knowing all that I know and have been teaching and writing I put it down to have a very human experience for a few days.
I am back without fear reservation guilt shame or doubt. I tried to find a ways to stop this endeavor. The mind/ ego may have put it on hold fora few days but as soon as the health started acting up because of too much external force and not enough internal strength. My reality became “real” and boring. Back on the daily mediation and reading the yoga sutras.
Yoga Sutra 2.22
krtarham prato nastam spy anastam tad anya sadharanatvat
Although the seen is dead to him who has obtained liberation, it is alive to others because it is common to all.
Wow that exactly what has been going on in my external world much like my internal world. I have been watching my move in and out of consciousness. I am going through feelings and thoughts but I am seeing them as I am the audience in a play. I often get confused and take a star role as the lead in my cosmic drama and all the work it takes makes me so physically tired. I come back to my source of refuge. My Daily Devotion.
